White Sage(Salvia Apiana) is a woody perennial native to California, reaching 2-3ft tall, flowering light blue up to 6ft on upright racemes. Its white foliage, light green when young, is highlighted by silver-blue spikes. Plant in sandy soil in full sun, trimming back after flowering. Scarify seed, sow in sandy soil, barely cover. Germ. in 14 days in warm, strong light; water once daily. Plant south side of building for lush winter growth; space 2-3ft. Cut leafy wands, semi-dry, then tie into bundles..
