Grow this sweet lettuce-type Genovese basil (Ocimum basilicum) for a slow-bolting, uniform, tall plant. The savory leaves are perfect for making pesto. This variety does well in pots or in the garden, just make sure the soil has warmed up before planting seeds directly. If using pots, harden off seedlings before transplanting and don't put them out too early, as this will help the plants avoid transplant shock. Space 1 foot apart.
