I like the idea of this for home and travel. However a few issues which limits me in giving it 5 stars. It collapses easily, small tea leaves go through the strainer and a little difficult to clean. None of these will stop me from using it.
The tea diffuser is wonderful. Fits my mugs perfectly and is large enough to hold a lot of loose tea. I find it more convenient than the mesh balls I have purchased in the past. Thank you Farmhouse Teas for great products.
I bought some tea as a gift for my sister and knew she didn't have much for loose leaf tea. I bought her this strainer, and she has loved using it. She commented that she had the small ball type with a handle but somehow this seemed so much nicer and the tea tasted better. I assured her it was the roominess the tea leaves get for the water to wash around. It was a win for her.
I wanted to love it, but I don't. It is so hard to get all the tea leaves out of it to clean it properly.

I really like this little collapsible tea strainer! One of the best features is that it keeps even fine tea leaves inside the strainer rather than letting them leak into your cup of tea. I plan to buy a couple more for friends.
The fact that is was collapsible is what caught my attention. My thought was that it would be good at home and on the go (travelling). The problem is that the tea gets stuck in between the sections making it difficult to clean. So yes, it's good on paper, but in reality not as functional as I thought it would be.
This is so easy to use and you can carry it with you.
Great little gadget. Helps hold in the steam with the wide brim, fits many different size cups, and is a small hole infuser to catch all of the little herb pieces. Stainless steel too. All around great product and is a must have.
This tea strainer is genius!
It is great for black teas which is slightly tea leaves, not so much for herbal tea as some leaves fall through.

I am overall pleased with the purchase of this starter kit. I am a first time home brewer of Kombucha and this was very beginner friendly. The only thing I am not certain of is, during my research and being on all sorts of Kombucha blogs, I have read/learned that you need 2 cups of starter liquid per gallon. I didn't specifically measure, but I don't think the starter liquid that came with the pellicle was 2 cups, I think it was more like 1 cup, and it did say it makes a gallon, so it may be a little misleading. Fortunately, this did NOT have a negative impact on my batch. My first batch did take a little over 2 weeks to be ready for F2 (which is quite long), but I was still able to get a good batch out of it, which also helped to create future batches. I am now on my 4th batch, so needless to say, even if it wasn't a full 2 cups of starter liquid per gallon, it still worked, just took a bit longer!
I have been wanting to try this herbal tea for quite some time. I finally have and I am a huge fan now! It is delicious on it's own with a little honey mixed in or I will sometimes add calendula and/or chamomile to switch up the flavors a bit. It will remain in my rotation of herbal teas going forward!
I use it as a tea. I add about a teaspoon of honey. Although it seems to have a bit of a peppery taste it is not overpowering. I like the taste of it.
This is my second order for this kit. It is easy to make and I love the flavor. Even my 4 year old great grandson will take it, and that gives me peace of mind, as it will help him from being sick so much.
I absolutely loved the flavor of this. It is probably one of my favorites!

Many times I drink coffee just to have some flavor besides water. This is a great way to add better flavor with less caffeine. Love it! I love trying the teas and coffee substitutes from Farmhouse Teas.
