Purple Coneflower ( Echinacea Purpurea) Herbaceous prairie dweller, orig. native to Michigan-Louisiana-Texas-Okla. Easy to grow, produces 1/2 lb. roots 2nd year. Rare wild source; not hybridized. Immune enhancement, antiinflammatory. Grow in sun, rich moist soil. Sow seed shallowly in spring, thin to 1 ft. spacing. Flowers 3-4 ft. tall.
